This is for Under 5’s only. Teacher is allowed to dance with them from the audience. Every student in this category gets a trophy:)
We hate the name ‘specialty restricted’, it sounds like a disability. We call this section Upcoming as we believe this to be the section for dancers who are in training, and the best place to train is on the stage. Students should be entered into this category under the director of their Dance Studios instruction. It is for students who haven’t competed in many eisteddfods and who are still working on their technique and performance skills. It is for students who have perhaps started later than their peers or cannot commit to hours upon hours a week but still have a passion for their chosen field. All students entered into this category are treated gently and respectfully.
Students should be entered into this category under the director of their Dance Studios instruction. This category is for competent dancers who are well on their way to mastering their craft, have competed in many eisteddfods and are interested in a more competitive eisteddfod. Open students should have a suitable knowledge of dance technique and have adequate performance abilities. All students are marked competitively.
Students should be entered into this category under the director of their Dance Studios instruction. Put simply, this category is where the best come to compete with the best. All students are marked highly competitively.
